Why is it that people decide to marry/follow a structured religion? In this case, why marry in a Catholic church?

How do you change your religion without them giving you a hard time and refusing to accept your decision?

How does someone change their religion, especially if it’s a Mormon religion, where they don’t leave you alone? How does someone write a letter regarding this to confirm their decision to be removed from their religion list? What if the Mormon church refuses, or ignores a request, then what? Can an attorney be involved?

Also, has that purpose been met? Why or why not? Do you think there is still a place for religion? Why or why not?

I’m writing an essay about freedom of religion and how important it is and I need an example to show what would happen if we didn’t have freedom of religion. I’m pretty certain that something in history happened where everyone had to be Christian or something. Thanks!

Does believing in the dogma of one religion automatically mean belief that all other religions are lies?

It’s impossible to believe in the dogma of all religions, right? Well, maybe not impossible but you’d have to be pretty crazy to believe that all religious dogma is true when all religious dogma contradicts other religious dogma. So that means that people can really only believe that the dogma associated with one religion is the truth, and if people believe that only the dogma associated with one religion is true, then this means they believe all other dogma is false, right? And this is the same as believing that the dogma associated with all other religions is a lie, right?

It seems almost every idle thought I have for the most part deals with religion and, most specifically, the Christian faith. I just want to keep religion out of my head and just focus on the life I’m living; not worrying about where I’m going to spend eternity. Anybody have any success with this?

To atheist, what age are you going to discuss religion with your children? I personally won’t discuss religion with my child till he’s 15 or maybe a year or two before, I’m an atheist in america but i want him to learn about all religions not just christianity. He can be religious but i think its wrong to indoctrinate him i want him to understand whats going on.

Retards can be trained to believe in the tenets of just about any religion but have you tried teaching a retard advanced physics? What does this indicate?

There are a lot in my community of different races. Mostly Latin-American.
I asked a friend what the religion was but I couldn’t get a clear answer.
Does anyone here know?
It’s not Muslim or Jewish though, I know that much.
