Evolution is a natural occurance and doesn’t require input from God. All it requires is input from the environment; organisms evolve in response to environmental changes.

Ah, interesting reply… supposing God is a part of the environment. One would assume that a god would be somewhat impetuous, not prepared to wait several thousand years to see what happens … after all, evolution is a long-term phenomenon. Not only that, surely God is too busy to worry about whether as bird’s tail should grow half an inch… I’m sure he’s too busy arranging the tsunamis, earthquakes etc.

Also, your statement regarding evolution “into more advanced forms” smacks of elitism. Who says evolution leads to an advanced form?

Recent research has shown that early hominids developed bipedalism while arboreal. There are videos and photographs of chimpanzees walking upright on branches, using their hands on higher branches to steady themselves. It is believed that we developed bipedalism in very much the same way before descending to the ground full-time.
