It took place in New York maybe and this one guy swore that for a year or so he would live strictly be the way of the bible. He wore all the proper clothing dated to that time, He swore off women(that's too bad) and so on and so forth. I really don't remember his name or the book name, but I am almost certain it all took place in the city, very possibly New York city. The link from the guy above me may very well be the one. But it's likely people have followed this before and have wrote about it, so do your research and make sure you find the book your looking for. :) Good luck.
