How many people believe in God without organized religion attached to your faith?

Blue Angel asked:
I am just curious as to how many people believe in God that do not go to church, or read the bible. I mean no offense to anyone as to their faith.

Is there a God or not? How can you know, and if you don’t know, how can you guess?

Amanda asked:
I have no idea.
Atheists’ point of view makes perfect sense.
Theists’ point of view makes perfect sense.
Yet both points of view make no sense when I really think about it!!!
Help me out, and tell me how you know or how you’ve come to an assumption that there is or is not a god.

How did an unchangeable God become a man?

sokrates asked:
Trinitarians believe that God became man in Christ. However, God is supposed to be immutable or unchangeable. Thomas Aquinas states that the divine is pure act. How, therefore, did God (the Son) become man in Christ Jesus?

Is it time to reconsider the traditional thestic conception of god?

tommmytee asked:
If god Is perfect, or science is perfect, then what went wrong at the advent of man? If god is eternal where was he the billions of years before man appeared? If god exists where is he? Since god is perceived as all loving should we reconsider what we call love? Are we absolutly sure of anything as some people seem to be about gods existance either way.
The bottomline is that we do not know if a god exists, existed, or will exist in any form. If a nice person can get that straight he becomes very valuable in the exploration of any possible existance of any form of god. Other dogmatic ideas fall on deaf ears of intelligent people.

Space Cowboy asked:
I don’t care if you believe in God, I just want to know what you think the best argument you’ve heard for his existence. For the sake of this question, assume that God is:
1. Eternal, or at least as old as the universe
2. Omnipresent, or at least capable of being many places at once
3. Omnipotent, or so powerful that we wouldn’t understand his limitaions
4. Sensient (no Hagelian “Geist”, I mean a god that knows he exists and that he is God.)
5. Purposeful.
6. Not “created” or “evolved” or other things that would make him just a better version of us.

I am also asking the opposite question, and I would appreciate people answering both questions.
I actually asked the opposite question as a different question:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/?qid=20060710180542AAUzX6l&r=w
So there are 10 points available for both answers if you answer the question in both places!

What would happen if religion would be non existent in this world?

If no religion exists, but all of us believe in God and the supreme power, would these fights over religion, human massacre and women degradation stop?I m not mentioning any one religion, but sadly, and shockingly,in every religion, women are suppressed, whereas nature is unbaised. Was religion supposed to make humans peaceful happy or to go against nature and perish human life in a stressful way? What would have been the possible cause of invention of different religions?

What give atheists the idea that there is not a religion that could be good?

I am not saying any are good now. But to say that there is no way a religion could be beneficial is not as accurate as atheists likes to think they are.
