Why does everyone try to shove it down your throat? If you have a certian religion, fine that’s a good thing. But why do some people try to convert you to their religion? I think it is disrespectful to take someone from one religion and try to talk them into having another one just because you do……

Ok, so I’ve been reading alot of stuff in R/S and I’m really confused…how do you know what religion is right? How do you know that there really is a God? Yes, don’t get me wrong I do believe in God…but I’ve started thinking about it alot lately and I don’t really understand this whole “religion” thing…why would people go to the extreme over this…like I read somewhere that someone would choose God over their family, there is no way I would do that…my family is the world to me. They are your flesh and blood and no one on this earth knows for sure that God is even real. So what’s the big thing about it? Why is it so important to people? I don’t want scripture readings either…
No I’m not trying to get people to say that worshiping God and being religious is wrong I’m asking why is it such a big deal to everyone…I mean you don’t even know 100% this stuff is real…for all you know someone could have wrote the bible…you weren’t around back then! I told you I DO believe in God but I don’t know maybe I’m just having doubts and I don’t understand.

why is there a religion? how come people fight over this and that religion is right and wrong? do you think that its sort of stupid to say that this or that religion is right or wrong?

would extremism prejudise and religious war cease or atleast decrease if people worshipped god (s) individually instead of group worshiped i.e. religion. I agree that religion can be good sometimes, charity work and happiness it can give people, but do the problems outweigh the benefits? would individual worship stop so much problems?
