Our national anthom has the words “one nation under God” in it, marrage must be completed by a saint, we must put our hand on the bible in court and sware by it that we will not lie. Why is the government biased with the Christian religion? is it fair to other religions?

The “Under God” statement isn’t in the national anthem..it’s in the Pledge of Allegiance. Anyways, the Pledge of Allegiance (and the God reference in it) were both created and enforced around the 1950s when America was afraid of Communism and afraid that the “Godless Commies” were poisioning our country. As for why religion permeates Government now, that’s what a country gets when it elects a President who claims to speak with God and claims to be doing God’s will. Further, the fact that Bush could have never been re-elected without the high support of the religious fanatics in the deep south (and the *** marraige question on the states’ ballots that got them all to the polls) shows how much of a player religion is in a government (and populace) that supposedly has “Seperation of Church and State”.

First of all, it’s the pledge of allegiance. Second, a marriage can be snctified by a justice of the peace (i.e. a judge).
To answer your question, it’s because America was started by White Anglo Saxon Protestants. These people came and killed most of the inhabitants already present on the North American continent and swore their new found nation was sanctified by God.
I’d laugh, if it wasn’t so sick.

Because the evil, subversive, deadly, perverse plauge known as religion has infiltrated society.

It’s based around the Judeo-Christian rights of man.
“Under God” is part of the Pledge of Alligence, which the Supreme Court has affirmed is within your rights not to say.
A marriage can be done by a judge, rabbi, or any other religious or non-religious leader. To be legally recognized as married in the US, you need a non-sectarian marriage license from City Hall.
In Court, you can request a copy of the Constitution, instead of the Bible, and be affirmed, rather than sworn in.

We were founded on religious freedom NOT the Christian faith.
Under God is in the Pledge, not the Anthem. It was added in 1954. This does not imply we were founded on the Christian belief.
You do not have to be married by a priest. You can have a judge do it. Again this in no way implies we were founded on the Christian belief.
You do not have to swear on the Bible in court. That is just absurd.
I would go punch whoever sold you on these “facts” in the nose. If you came up with this on your own, you now know better.

Because it was the dominant religion at the time of the founding of the country.
