   Depends are who’s religion you are talking about. There are a lot of good people out there that are very God fearing. Then there are the nuts.

   Religion is about lying to people and blowing people up. Christianity is about telling people that Jesus loves them and doesn’t want to see them go to hell if they would only repent.

   Unfortunately, there are many religions today that call themselves Christian, not because they are, but because it’s easier to draw a crowd.

   Fact: “Good people” go to hell everyday because they got caught up in religion thinking it was Christianity. 3 people died every single second of everyday somewhere around the world. Are you washed in the blood of Christ Jesus? Without it, there is no remission of sin.

   Religion may be important to politics in some nations. But not here. If a British politician happens to mention his faith, that’s fine. If he goes on about it, that is damaging. If he said he was “guided by God” he can expect an electoral drubbing.

   religion is about violence. The history of the world is chock full of examples.

   I think one religious zealot in the middle ages said something like “kill them all….and let god sort them out later”.

   Depends what your interpretation of religion is. I think it is about your morals, love, and your salvation. Some people view it as only morals. Some view it as only love. Some view it as killing people. Some view it as escaping the world. Etc.

    as a christian love is positive, Murder is forbidden. All good things come from believing in the Lord Jesus Christ.

    Ha ha. Look at some of these Christians going on about how “murder is forbidden,” but then championing the soldiers who have to shoot people to defend themselves in the stupid situation in Iraq, and also defending the politicians who put the soldiers in these situations in the first place. So … killing someone who is probably poor and poorly educated actually isn’t murder? Murder isn’t murder? I don’t get it.

    Religion is a crock. People are human. I am humanist. People need to treat each other humanely and do to each other as they would have others do to them. This is, of course, a Christian idea, except any thinking person would reject 99% of the other sh*t about controlling gays’ *** lives and valuing fetuses’ lives over women’s that Christians push.

    Religion is important to some of us in the USA , because in order to live as God wants, we must love our enemies to death .We show our
    religious love, by believing that our God is the best, therefore we go to war to prove it , AMEN

    It has always been a means of controlling the masses like sheep.

    Long ago people used it to control and take money or goods from people who basically had fears of the unknown.

    Religion in any form has held back the overall progress of mankind , by debunking science and keeping it’s followers in a controlled state.

    I suggest you watch Cosmos by Carl sagan or simply use your eyes and mind to see how many times in history religion has been used as a tool of destruction , oppression and greed.

    Prostitution is not the oldest business on the planet……..religion is.

    At least a hooker tells you , what you are getting , while religion just fooks everyone it gets its hands on.

    Religion is just another form of mind control , and in most cases an economical machine. If the religion deems that you must blow up infidels or other not of the same faith , they blindly follow believing they are doing so for their gods. Other religions have their followers blindly give cash towards the great religious machine , and somehow convince both the followers and governments to let them do it tax free.

    All you donators to the religious foolishness, should stop funding these con men and use your money to help yourself , family or donate to a legitimate cause , that is not based on a bunch of lies and manipulation so artfully handed down threw the ages.
