Don’t liberals force their secularism on people all the time? I’m sick and tired of liberals forcing their secularism on me all the time. From of religion does not mean freedom from religion.

The USA is not a Theocracy, so get over it.

The Bill of Rights provides for the freedom “of” religion & the freedom “from” religion.

That is why I said earlier that we are overdue for a civil war.

The liberals in this country have twisted the constitution way too much already, it is time to take it back.

If you fault me for being an atheist I will in turn fault you for believing in fairy tales…

    Sound fair?

How about we all just frickin try to get along?

The constitution says “congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of a religion”. That’s the only separation of church and state that the constitution guarantees. It does not mean crosses can’t be put on public lands, or that prayer should be banned from schools. Liberals try to say that Jesus was a liberal, but with the other hand try to ban all reference to him.

I respect everyone’s religious beliefs but I **** when the religious conservatives tell me how to vote, who to marry, what to do with my body, where to work, and to serve their selfish, arrogant, bigoted God.

How do you force secularism on someone in a country that was not designed to be a theocracy?
When has anyone said mentioning Jesus is forcing religion on people?
Maybe you should goto bed, because it is past your curfew and bedtime.

Allowing crosses on public land is recognizing and promoting a religion. If you don’t thing sombolism is promoting something, then you shouldn’t have a problem with it not being there.

BTW just for your confused little mind…. Prayer in school is not banned a child may pray at any appropriate time as long as they aren’t disturbing class.
If your child wants to pray at recess they are more than free to do so. I knew Jewish family that used to come to school to pray with their kids at lunchtime.
Just no school official is allowed to require it, or lead it.

It boggles me, I’m an atheist myself, but I don’t think we should change the Pledge of Allegiance, ban prayer in school, or anything. The Constitution hardly says anything about separation of church and state anyway.

I think they’re just easily offended, and they like the idea of Federal Government controlling everything. It’s odd, I just don’t get their mentality.

There can’t be a God or there would be no racism.

It is politically incorrect unless you are pointing out that Jesus was a community organizer.

why at the mere mention of “we don’t want you to make the Bible the New Constitution”… do I get “you **** Christians”?

    funny eh?

guess you talk to different people than I do… talk about Jesus till you’re blue in the face… as long as you’re not standing in front of Congress trying to pass a bill while you’re saying it…. (and really you can do that and say Jesus too… as long as you’re not legislating in his name)

    You are correct it seems.

The Left Wing’s tolerance is the fairy tale.

And your belief in God will not be tolerated by the Left!

That’s because most liberals/ secularist feel that they are the center of their own universe.Everything revolves around them.I guess they don’t want competition from the real God.Liberals/secularist have one commandment. Do as I say but not as I do.

I think secular humanism should be treated as a religion and be banned from government and public schools the same as Christianity has been. Allow it all or ban it all.

Depends on what exactly is mentioned, how it is mentioned & in what situation.

“In God We Trust” should be viewed as symbolic by seculars. Religon has always had an influence on every culture. The days of the week & the months of the year are named after Greek (or Roman?) gods.

And there are towns that were founded by missionaries. But to illustrate that heritage on a corner of the city’s official seal is somehow viewed as offensive? Get a grip!

Some miserable ppl in this country just need something else to be angry about.

    BTW; Merry Chirstmas!
