Why do people call him a Muslim, and think that the word is an insult? What’s wrong with being Muslim? He’s not, but if he were – is that a problem? Not everyone that believes in the Muslim religion is bad. There are extremist in every religion. What’s the issue?

Well lately its the Muslims ones that keep blowing up. WW2 we hated the Japanese, Vietnam we didn’t like the Vietnamese.

When your at war with a certain group people you kinda tend not to like them very much. Then again Liberals back in Nam sided with the VC and treated our veterans like sh*t when they got back.

You have hit the issue. Not all Muslims are bad ( the same for all people). However, due to the radical actions of a small percent we instinctively take a second look when confronted with someone from the muslim faith. That’s just human nature. I believe an action that would go a long way to reducing ( not eliminating) this reaction would be if the Muslim world would collectively take up a call to arms and loudly denounce these radical terrorist. But interestingly, we haven’t seen this. That being the case, this lack of out rage only adds fuel to the fire that the Muslims world must, to some extent, support these murders. In regards to Obama, I doubt if he would have received any support if he was truly a muslim. Don’t forget, this is America. Please don’t take the easy position that everything in the world is OK, just do what you want.

as the same can be said about the libs whining and crying about Mitt being a Mormon And if you doubt that was an issue just refer back to the lib propaganda god keith blabberman aka rachel maddcow. The real issue should be politics not religion Oh but the libs did make fun of Bush and his beliefs but how dare anyone say anything about the messiah of libs

It was used as a fear tactic to try and get people not to vote for him, nothing more. If you go back you’ll see how they took quotes from his book, and tried to tie him to muslim extremists. Even during the election there were people trying to tie him to a twisted version of revelations from the bible. It’s nothing more than fear, which people today still believe everyone from the middle east should be destroyed.

Andy G, the religious right didn’t like Mitt being a Mormon either, they were quite vocal labeling them a cult.
