I think there is another way to look at this other than the typical answer. People in previous ages used memorization a lot more than we do today. Especially since books and paper (i.e. parchment & animal skins) were quite expensive. It was a practiced skill. I am sure that Jesus' disciples, as they listened to his teaching, being good disciples (def. One who embraces and assists in spreading the teachings of another), took the time to memorize his words. You will find that the Jewish people continue to require memorization of the Torah today. We forget that learning the word of God was once a labor intensive and very serious thing. I am sure the disciples did not walk away from Jesus' teaching (three years of it) and forget them quickly only to miraculously recall every word decades later. God chose to entrust His word with those who would handle it well.

God can remember everything, and tells His people what to write.

The Bible was not written until many years after his death by individuals who wrote entire 'from memory'. So I would gather that any quotes are paraphrasing. However, Christians will tell you that the Bible is the infallible Word of God and God, himself, told those writers exactly what to put on paper for us to "enjoy" tens of thousands of years later. However, IMHO, no matter how you cut it, the Bible was written by MAN.

Additionally, the conglomeration of text currently known as 'the Holy Bible' were chosen by a select group of men called the Council of Nicea. They chose which books to include according to how they wanted to manipulate people. Most of the excluded books of the Bible are referred to as the "Gnostic Bible" and can be purchased online. These books are written by individuals such as Mary Magdelene and Thomas. There are also the Dead Sea Scrolls which are supposedly written by Jesus Christ himself. However, what we known as the Bible is written and compiled by greedy men looking to manipulate people to their personal motivations.

He had the ultimate Steno within Him. And He promised that those who would believe would receive the Steno, who would remind them of everything.

If God can do anything and everything, such things are not too great for Him.

If you cannot accept that not all knowledge is empirical, then there's nothing anyone can tell you. By the same virtue, it could be argued: show me the sense that told you you could trust only your senses. I want an answer- and none of this "my senses told me" nonsense. And negging this comment - is not giving me the proof I have asked for.

"god" equipped each of jesus' followers, and some animals too, with tiny tape recorders, and told them to save all the tapes until called upon, or he would drown them all. And he added "And you know I can do it."

Mitchell T: The asker specifically said that he did not want cop-out answers like that.
