How come so many do not let Jesus into their hearts?

So many say that God is unjust and unfair but if that were so how come He died for our sins. For Jesus to die for us is a true sign of love and forgiveness. How many other gods died for our sins and forgave us for us being so wicked? Why not let Him in to your life?

Tell me how. I will happily let him into my heart. I will humbly acknowledge that I do and will likely continue to do things that you would say make me a “sinner,” and I will even accept that I was born a sinner, so I have no problem admitting that. I will happily, humbly, joyously give my self to Christ, if only he would come into my heart, which I have opened to Him.

Now what?

BTW, how is it possible for a God to die? He was only “dead” for a few days, anyway, and he knew he’d be right back. How much of a sacrifice is that?

I just don’t really believe in that stuff.. I was raised Roman Catholic but that stuff never just interested me. The pastor just repeated and repeated the same stuff you are now. I kind of thought that it felt like brainwashing to tell you the truth. I live my life the right way based on human nature basically. not mean and selfish like they say non-believers are. I’m atheist and pretty proud..

Well, my deities didn’t die for me but then again, they don’t constantly say that I’m an abomination for the way I was born (transgendered). I choose a deity that loves me for who I am rather than one that says I’m nothing without him.

Because they are blinded by what is going on. Its their choice if they don’t believe in Him that is their business. We as christians do our part by telling them about what He did for us. If they don’t listen that’s not our problem anymore.
God said spread the good news. If we do that then we have done our jobs.

And pray for them.

People pretend to have intellectual objections to faith, but in most cases I suspect that pride and selfishness are the key obstacles to conversion. Jesus was a real man like no other who has lived. His holiness expose our evil and malice, and people do not like being confronted with their true selves. It is more fun in the shorter term to project an image and to deny our sinful character, and the sinful character is exposed by the Holy life of Jesus. Even people who saw his miracles rejected him. They lacked the courage to change their attitude or lifestyle. Read John’s gospel especially chapter 7 vs 17 and chapter 3.

Just pray for them and keep it moving.Some people just don’t want to have to believe in anything if it has rules or a sense of depending on something or someone they can’t see.Most probably would say air doesn’t exist if the conversation came up…you can’t see that but, your taken it in right now. lol, Just keep every man in constant prayer.

I’m an atheist who lives by Jesus.

So many theists (and atheists alike) seem incapable of comprehending this simple situation.

I’m a person who does not believe in God, and sees the Bible as being inaccurate at the best of times. However, the story of Jesus is portrayed similarly about 3.25 times in the Bible, and is only contradicted in about 0.75 of one gospel, spread across the 4. Therefore, I can assume that the collated gospels represent a substantial accuracy of what Jesus said.

What Jesus said is also confirmed in my own logical mind as being morally helpful, and ultimately great guidance. It also comes across as the teaching of a person who strongly believes in God.

For me, it’s a case of seeing past the theistic side of it, and picking up on how His advice can be read in an atheistic way.

Technically, Jesus is well and truly in my heart, without what I call impurities (like a jealous, oversensitive, omnipotent drama queen and a confusing, garbled book).

i do not believe in your god or jeuss being a son of god, theres no not letting them in my heart, i just dont believe they are what and who you beleive them to be

Part of the reason is that many people fall under a post-modern mindset. They believe that whatever is true for a Christian, is true for them, but truth is in the eye of the beholder and there are no absolutes.

The problem with this is that saying there are no absolute truths is an absolute truth in itself. This simple presupposition is one of the leading causes of the entire gospel going in one ear and out the other of many listeners, because they don’t want it to be true for them, so they believe they can make it that way.

Then, if you’re talking about people who truly want to believe (usually older conservatives with traditional morals living in the suberbs) it seems that they believe that God saved them from sin, but they don’t understand that they NEED a personal daily relationship and walk with Christ to go to heaven.

BUT, it seems that these types are dying away and the post-modern thought is a major cause of unbelief. It seems that most people absolutly DO NOT want to be accountable to God, so they work as hard as they can to backup the presupposition that there is no God in the first place with evidence and don’t give the exploration of true genuine Theology rooted in the Bible a chance.

I wish more people would at least explore within Christian communities the power of the Holy Spirit working within people and how it brings about the true humility which everyone in the world has always craved for and continues to.

Because no man can die for the sins of others – the Jewish G-d rejects this. Clearly, you worship a different G-d.

Because Jesus added nothing TO Judaism; he taught basic Judaism and even his ‘sermon on the mount’ was little more than a weak imitation of a previous Jewish preacher.

Because no Jew will ever worship a human being, dead or alive! The messiah will be a great leader (human) who will usher in an age of universal peace on earth. Do we have peace anywhere on earth? No? No peace, no messiah!

Human sacrifice is forbidden in Judaism. It was Christianity that reverted to human sacrifice in order to find a way to discontinue sacrifice after the destruction of the 2nd Temple when sacrifice was no longer possible. Jews replaced sacrifice with prayer. To this day, Jews continue to pray at the times designated for sacrifice.
