From an agnostic it is quite clear that every religious group has the same devotion to their god as anyone else.

How do you know for sure that you have the right religion and every other religion is wrong even though they think your religion is just as wrong as you think theirs is?

Honestly nobody will ever know which religion is the right or wrong one. The worlds most popular religons were made during ancient times that we were obviously not around for. I think that every religion has things I agree with and then they all have things I dont agree with. You just have to use an open mind or just find one that makes you feel good.

There IS no right one…only the one that is right for YOU.

And I know it is right for me, because it makes sense to me.

Most major religions stem from the same God, which I think gives credit to God. From there, I believe there have been prophets but only one Messiah. To me, Ishmael (though recognized by God) isn’t the legitimate son to carry the tribes of Israel. Buddhism doesn’t really have a specific god to my best knowledge ( I could be wrong), and I don’t believe Joseph Smith had any extra divinity running through his veins than you or I do. Just throwing stuff out there. That’s how I feel Christianity is legit.

I don’t pretend to know. I love my religion, and I share my love for it in an academic, historical sense, but not from the standpoint of wanting to convert others (also, I only bring it up when people ask me questions about it). I know everyone is going to believe what they believe, and there’s certainly nothing that supports any faith in a scientific fashion.

So I chose what I chose because I liked the history, tradition, and ritual. I don’t try to tell anyone their faith is less valid, it’s just not my type of sandwich.

go to different religions, check them out, by being right, that doesn’t mean somebody else is wrong, You have the wrong premise.

By being “right” it feels like the right religion for you at this time, many have changed religions, but no-one goes and says well the other one is wrong, they say i have “out-grown” it

people move on and grow into many things in this life, its a big journey man.

Love is a distinguishing feature of true worship. Jesus likened finding true worship to finding the right road and choosing to walk on it. It is the only road that leads to everlasting life. Jesus said: “Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it.” (Matthew 7:13, 14) Only one body of true Christians walks unitedly with God on the road of true worship. Therefore, it does matter which religion you choose. If you find that road and choose to walk on it, you will have found the best way of life, for it is the way of love.—Ephesians 4:1-4.
Imagine what joy can be yours as you walk on the road of true worship! It is like walking with God. From God you can learn wisdom and love so as to enjoy good relationships with others. From him you can learn about the purpose of life, and you can understand God’s promises and have a hope for the future. You will never regret seeking true worship.

I don’t think the path I follow is the ‘right one.’ I believe in most (at the moment) Gods, yet I don’t agree with all of their teachings. The religion I follow is the right one for me; it may not be for someone else though. There is no right religion. If there were wrong religions, most of us would inevitably end up in hell.
Personally, to me, I think that we all worship one ‘thing’ (I personally believe the ‘thing’ is a ‘universal power’) at the end of the day, so it doesn’t make a difference whether we’re Atheist, Hindu, Muslim or Jewish.

Yes, I know I said Atheist. I am not saying that they believe in God, I am saying that they could be leading a path that leads to God. I don’t think you have to believe in God to be on a path the leads to him/her.

P.S: Everything above is MY OPINION. I am not saying that everything I have written is correct and factual.

EDIT: Sorry. When I said, “I don’t think you have to believe in God to be on a path the leads to him/her,” I simply meant that you do not have to believe in God to be on the right path. I am not sure where all the paths lead yet. :)
