If Jesus came back, would the established religion get mad at him all over again?

Jesus didn’t preach “Christ died our sins,” nor did he say “I died for your sins,” but he did say: “I will have mercy, and not sacrifice.” (He was quoting Hosea 6:6, which appears to be a condemnation of the idea of sacrifice for sins)

So if Jesus came back and just repeated what he said the last time, would the established religion get just as mad at him as they did 2000 years ago?
More context in my biography.

Probably. I can see the fundies calling him the antichrist and condemning him as a commie liberal and not a *true* Christian.

Hell yes!
They would also label him as the anti-christ so nobody would listen to him.
Aw – what’s this? A thumbs down? The truth hurts, huh?

When He comes back it’s going to be in all His glory and this time, He will be the one doing the judging, not us.

Jesus said ,” As Jonah was three days and nights in the belly of the whale, so shall the son of man in the belly of this earth. He sure did tell them he was going to die. After all he read of his death in the Abrahamic covenant.

i firmly believe that what christianity calls Jesus will be disolved at the appearance of Jesus, there will be weeping, and wailing, and gnashing of teeth.
but there is a parable of the 10 virgins. 5 were wise and 5 were foolish.
those people who wise in their own conceit will reject the truth even until jesus appears. but all things that offend will be destroyed so if those that are self conceited and self wise will find themselves under the miracle of grace and mercy if God spares them.
Jesus wont return as a man that walks on the street, he will return both as a thief in the night and as ONE with Great Glory and with all the holy angels.
However, IF jesus did appear as a man traveling in the streets, I am pretty sure most churches would CRY crucify him”, all over again.

Of course! Jesus is truth, and “established religion” doesn’t want to hear it!

Jesus never came to start with, what do you meen, come again?

I am afraid your quote is out of context.
Jesus is not coming back for more forgiveness.
He is coming for search and destroy mission.
If you look at book of revelation, by the time Jesus comes back, world is alreay ruined.
It becomes one world nation and ruler is the devil himself.
[Revelation 17 : 17 -18].
17. For God has put it into their hearts to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to give the beast their power to rule, until God’s words are fulfilled.
18. The woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth.”
So, then Jesus comes in later on :
[Revelation 19 : 11 - 15]
11. I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war.
12. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself.
13. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.
14. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.
15. Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.
His name is word of God or also known as logos or Jesus
If you read the last part, he is not something to mess around with.
He has “a sharp sword”, and he is coming to judge his people and
punish them accordingly.
Jesus coming as a servant was one time offer my friend ^_______^>

You present a very profound, difficult question, an excellent one.
A simple, general answer is yes. Jesus teaches a living personal spiritual relationship with God above and within, here and now, just where and just as you and I now are ! No ecclesiastical intermediaries are needed to teach you God’s will ! God is your and my loving and merciful and teaching Spiritual Father; you and I are each His beloved sons or beloved daughters ! We may love and commune and follow God everywhere that we are, and each and every day and minute.
Bibles are not “Holy”; churches are not “Holy”; only all Humans on earth are now Holy in Spirit in Jesus Christ in God: the One Holy Father-Son-Spirit here above (Sovereign will) and having His pure spirit Guiding Essence within us !
The above brief sharing I have attempted above will probably be perceived as somewhat shocking and radical by come conventional (human authority first) Christians and other religionists; how much more shocking might the full Light and Life Revelation of Jesus be ? That depends on the individual human. Some will rejoice and be further transformed in Jesus; others will close their souls and still reject Him. God gives each mature human the sacred Gift of having free will in matters of deciding their spiritual destiny. The wise will choose God’s Light and eternal perfecting Life in our Master and Savior Jesus Christ. Dan 12:1-4
For those who are now spiritually aware; they know that Jesus Christ is fully here with us ! They understand and believe Jesus’ deep Living Words in John 12:31-32, John 16:7-16, the last verses in John chapter 17, Rev 21:3-7 and many others. But they do not accept the lower quality (human thoughts) partly distorting the Bible. Jesus has to be the only Authority above all Bibles and above all human preachers and teachers. Some day on earth, the vast majority will accept Him and will try more sincerely to ever follow Him into and as The Father as He so wills.
I have only briefly touched upon this good question. Later, probably several long books may be written as a partial answer. See John 20:30-31 and John 21:25 on all the good books coming.
Peace and progress in our True Godman Jesus Christ here with us,
Brother Dave

In current condition, yes, but things will change before our King returns, Revelation says so, those two true witnesses of God who come forth, are hotly debated across the world for three years and then assasinated and resurrected. What do you think is going to happen when they are resurrected???? It will be revolutionary, they are in charge, no doubt about it, God is real and people will fall to their knees pray and repent as these two have been telling them to. And then according to Revelation, a brief time when the devil appears mortally wounded (a brief time of world peace) will ensue before the devil rallies and you probably know what happens in the story line after that. Boom, boom, boom, Ka-boom!

They’d crucify him.
