Hell doesn’t exist so…in Christianity yes.

  2. Adam F on October 21st, 2008 7:59 am

    That’s why I’m not a Christian anymore

You can’t ask that! It makes the evangelicals angry when you tell them that according to their interpretation of the Bible, God decide Gandhi has to go to hell but ****** gets to go to Heaven.

Good is good in any religion. Good people won’t go to Hell.

  5. Helios the Great on October 29th, 2008 11:29 pm

Yes, no one is worthy of God no matter how good they are. So unless they ask forgiveness for their sins, they’re going to hell

Christians don’t recognize other beliefs. They say everyone else is “in denial”

In most subdivisions of Christianity, yes. That person would be going to hell, whilst a Jesus-believing ****** takes his spot.

God doesn’t send anyone to hell. they chose to not believe in him and to not be with him.

The only way to have your sins forgiven, to be justified with the Father, is to have faith in Jesus Christ as the Only Son of God. You need to accept the Father’s love in sending Jesus to us, and accept Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross as payment for your sins.

You are not saved by good works, lest any man should boast. That is right in the Bible. It also tells us that the ONLY way to salvation is through the Son. Everything else, denies the sacrifice of Christ, or denies its all-sufficiency.

You can be as good as you want to be, but it is all in vain without faith. And that, too, is in the New Testament.

They have their whole lives to come to Christ. God gives you your whole lifetime.
If you don’t make that commitment, if you don’t give your life to Christ, you’re giving it to the devil. There is no middle ground. God’s not Santa Claus!

    define good =/

For example, if I believe that Homosexuals are worthy of every right a heterosexual couple is, that means I would fall under “bad” for most catholics, thus i would head to Hell.

My Logic: Either the catholic God doesn’t exist, or he isn’t worth worshiping and following if he does.

  12. petsnakes on November 10th, 2008 6:23 am

Yes He would. But He will be fulfilling their wish and desire not to have to live with Him.

  13. Rebecca on November 11th, 2008 8:14 pm

    It says in the Bible:

I have sheep in my flock that are not of this pen.

I believe that to mean there is more than one way to Heaven.

Remember, God is a just God and He loves us. He isn’t sitting up in Heaven waiting for us to ***** up so he can throw us into hell. That’s just not how it works!

  14. betsybay on November 13th, 2008 6:05 pm

since Jesus is the only way to Heaven that means they go to hell. I don’t know about the Hilter comment. hilter would go to hell as well since one he didn’t believe in God. he was raised catholic. also he didn’t repent for his sins. so no.

That depends on whether or not they have had a chance to accept the gospel. If they have never heard of Jesus- then God will give them a chance to reject or accept Him.

The only reason anyone-regardless of who- goes to hell is for rejecting God, period. Being “good” has nothing to do with it.
Before Jesus was born- one still had to believe in God. Its still the same for those who never heard.
The Jesus way is by far the easiest……this is why God offers it.

  16. Tammy D on November 17th, 2008 12:45 pm

that’s why the bible says go in to all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature

therefore: none will be with out excuse, to say that they don’t know jesus

There are good Christians who interpret the bible differently. We have a right to do that; we are not cookie cut. Some believe all go to heaven, some say God chooses who goes, some say only those who hear of Christ and believe; some say only those who hear and reject Christ will be excluded. I personally did a lot of searching and arrived at one of the above. God makes us think and study, not just listen to someones opinion.

Who is good? Only God is good. ALL human beings are worthy of eternal damnation no matter how good they think (or other people think) they are.

People who look holy and good only look holy and good; if it weren’t for the sacrifice our Lord Jesus Christ did on the cross for us, they would never be able to enter heaven. Only if you believe on our Lord Jesus Christ can you be saved from eternal damnation. There is no other way to God but Him.

To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory for ever and ever. Jesus is Lord.

NOTHING can wash away our sins but the blood of Jesus.

    Scripture makes that VERY clear….

Its a question of whether you can have sin forgiven with OTHER beliefs without the atoning blood of Christ from his death on the cross. You cannot.

When Francis Xavier traveled as a missionary, he encountered people from many other cultures and faiths. While he maintained, as we Catholics still maintain, that Once one was taught and understood the faith, that they would be held accountable to it, those good people who have never learned of Christ, were never exposed to the Gospel, could not be held accountable for it. Rather, these people are judged by their actions, their goodness and the love that they expressed to their fellow man.

Likewise, Pope John Paul II was open to the understanding that there are other paths to come to know God. For example, he stated that the Jewish People were still the chosen people and tied to God the father by the original covenant. He stated that their role in the world had not yet come to pass.

And so, we as Catholics firmly believe that we have the fullest and most grace-providing path towards God, but that there are other paths which have been and will be explored by others. It is our duty to offer our manner to all others, for the sake of their own soul, but never to force. Sometimes the more obscured path is the one that simply works best for a person.

Jesus is the only way to heaven and all good people have the equal opportunity to believe His message or reject it. God has one answer, Jesus for one problem, sin. God makes sure all people have equal opportunity to hear the “good news” of the provision God has made to redeem all mankind from the lies and deceit of satan.
The first principle of God is in the first book of the Bible..,”every seed produces after it’s own kind”. Adam, God’s 1st man took his freewill and committed treason and lost his connection to God and lost his fellowship (dying spiritually) and lost the garden Paradise. Therefore, all mankind after him was produced from his spiritual death cycle. It has nothing whatsoever to do with “goodness”.., how good is good?
It has to do with right relationship/ spirits connected to God or rebelling against God by following the god of this world, satan. The devil stole Adam’s dominion over the earth, therefore putting him (Adam) in subjection to himself. It took Jesus, the Christ, to come and pay for all mankind’s treason and spiritual death, to give them back their ability to re-choose the God of life and to regain their dominion. Mankind CHOOSES whether they spend their earth life and their eternity with Jehovah God or separated from Him. God doesn’t send anyone anywhere. It’s our freewill choice. Hell is a decision all men make for themselves, not God. His message is repentance (changing your mind and direction) and redemption through Jesus Christ. Come join us spread the good news (gospel). He’s returning soon for His own.

The bible tess us that none are good, no not one.
And if there are none that are good then what? God is Holy God and no one can come to Him unless the Father draws them. God is holy and if God is holy then who or what can bridge the gap for us to come to God. JESUS did just that. He died on the cross that we could come to God. and if we accept this Jesus and His sacrifice on the Cross we can come to holy God. that is the ONLY way to get to heaven.
What about all those good people? none are good!! They die without Jesus and go to hell!!

  25. AdoreHim on December 3rd, 2008 12:49 pm

First of all , what do you call good? How good do you have to be to reach heaven, with or without Jesus? If we compare ourselves with other people we can always find someone that we are better than. However, when we stop doing that and begin to look at ourselves through the eyes of God, then we will begin to see how sinful we really are. There are some very good people in the world that are not Christians, absolutely no doubt about it- but in the eyes of the most holy God, we all are sinners and fall short of His glory. Before I became a Christian, I was known as “the good girl”- so it was hard for me to imagine me not going to heaven, until I chose to look at myself through His eyes, and then I realized that I fell very short. That is why Jesus had to come to earth. He paid the price that we could never pay, so that we could live with Him forever.

  26. K Mo on December 5th, 2008 6:56 am

Yes, they would go to hell if all they had were good works and not a relationship with Jesus. The bible is very clear that Jesus is the only way to heaven, like you said. It may seem harsh but none of us really deserve heaven anyway. No matter how good we are. The bible says our righteousness is as filthy rags before God. We didn’t deserve the sacrifice Jesus made, but He died anyway. God created hell for the devil and his demons. He never wanted people to go there, but there can be no sin in His presence. That’s why He sent Jesus, to be the sacrifice for our sins, if only we’ll except Him. The only people that will be in hell will be the ones that chose to be there by rejecting Jesus. And besides, how good is good enough? Where is the line drawn? God is not cruel. It breaks His heart to see people living wrong and going to hell. He gives us all a choice though. He won’t force anything on you. So, once again, the people who will be in hell will be the ones that chose to be there.
