   comfort against fear of the unknown, a sense of justice in a capricious world, a sense of purpose when it can often be difficult to define by yourself, and a foolish grasping at anything that offers some hope that, somehow, we can cheat death.

   The purpose of religion is to fellowship with God.

   Of course, I only came here to give the thumbs down to those who inevitably, ignorantly answered something along the lines of “fear of death.”

   I was not disappointed.
