There is in fact a religion that is the mother of all religions, and framed every book written and circulated through out the world, and it is the Mystery religion, that no one knows or wants to admit too because they would then know there own as a harlot religion. She pretend to be with Christ while opposing Christ, and all His doctrines but a mere few.

   Rome clearly appears to be meant in this chapter. Pagan Rome subdued and ruled with military power, not by art and flatteries. She left the nations in general to their ancient usages and worship. But it is well known that by crafty and politic management, with all kinds of deceit of unrighteousness, papal Rome has obtained and kept her rule over kings and nations. Here were allurements of worldly honour and riches, pomp and pride, suited to sensual and worldly minds. Prosperity, pomp, and splendour, feed the pride and lusts of the human heart, but are no security against the Divine vengeance. The golden cup represents the allurements, and delusions, by which this mystical Babylon has obtained and kept her influence, and seduced others to join her abominations. She is named, from her infamous practices, a mother of harlots; training them up to idolatry and all sorts of wickedness. She filled herself with the blood of the saints and martyrs of Jesus. She intoxicated herself with it; and it was so pleasant to her, that she never was satisfied. We cannot but wonder at the oceans of Christian blood shed by men called Christians; yet when we consider these prophecies, these awful deeds testify to the truth of the gospel. And let all beware of a splendid, gainful, or fashionable religion. Let us avoid the mysteries of iniquity, and study diligently the great mystery of godliness, that we may learn humility and gratitude from the example of Christ. The more we seek to resemble him, the less we shall be liable to be deceived by antichrist.

   Example: A church that preaches a good doctrine then asks for tithes.

   It’s demonizing the indigenous matriarchal religions that were originally in the area. The patriarchal Hebrews came in and wiped them all out. Since then, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam have continued to demonize the old ways of the matriarchal religions and traditions, to retain control.

   One of the ways it does this (besides murdering women who practiced the old religions) is to call these women witches, harlots, evil, from satan, etc.

   Pretty disgusting if you ask me.

   Its not a single religion…but it can be many…
   ANY RELIGION that teaches false doctrines that came from Pagan Religions…and tolerates Sins…and Does not preach the kingdom news…and Participates in Politics/Warfare/and certain practices..
   Teaches….things that are not biblically clear.is part of this…Harlot.

   Examples of Pagan beleifs…and customs..are:
   Easter
   Christmas
   Halloween
   Teaches a Trinity
   Teaches about Hell
   Doesn’t preach
   it’s members are active in Politic and world affairs…
   And many more characteristics…
   all these false religions…and it’s members will live through this:

   “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. 22 Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23 And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness. ”

   My best guess is that the harlot refers to all organized religion.

   Most of them teach false doctrines like “hell”.

    Harlot is a metaphor for those that lust and commit adulteries instead of loving one another as your self. They feel drunk and mad on the feelings of lust.
