Jesus was the first Messianic Jew. His religion was Judaism, and I think HE was an orthodox Jew.

Jesus and God are One, so Jesus did not ‘follow’ any religion, He came to reinforce His Word.

Jesus Christ in His earthly ministry, taught and lived the law of Moses, or Judaism. Since He was God in the flesh, this was the ONLY “religion” that was on the table and that He sanctioned.

After the Cross and God Set ASIDE the Nation of Israel for UNBELIEF, He raised up a brand NEW apostle with a brand NEW message for a brand NEW Creation. Christ RISEN from the dead spoke to and thru Paul to we who are the church which is His Body today.

So, in reality, the Bible shows us two methods of worship that God sanctioned. Judaism/the law and Christianity/Grace. We are presently in the dispensation of GRACE, and that is the ONLY gospel by which mankind is saved today.

Moses was an Israelite from the tribe of Levi and his religion was Judaism.

Jesus was an Israelite from the tribe of Judah and his religion was Judaism as well.

The word ‘Christ’ is not Jesus’s last name…it is his TITLE.

Jesus the “Christ” which means “Anointed one”. Those who followed the Anointed one’s teachings were called Christians. The religious beliefs of the Christians was called Christianity.
